📄 Public Adjusting Firm making $351K/yr!

Welcome Back to The Corporate Pivot!
There’s always going to be a better time. After the next raise. After the busy season. After things “settle down.”
But here’s the truth — that perfect moment you’re waiting for? It doesn’t exist.
The people who build freedom, wealth, and a life they actually want don’t wait for the right time. They take the shot and figure it out as they go.
That doesn’t mean reckless moves. It means choosing progress over perfection. Action over excuses.
At The Corporate Pivot, we’re here to help you make that move. Start something. Buy something. Bet on yourself.
Because the risk of staying stuck is way bigger than the risk of starting.
Let’s go.
Here’s what we have for you today:
Pivot Perspectives: Sam talks about sending NDAs for three potential deals and kicking off a more transparent look into what’s real and what’s just broker fluff. Tyler talks about why skipping a logo early on was a mistake and how getting the branding right helps a small business feel more established and credible. | Acquisition Alerts:
| Cool Business Idea: “What if you never had to mow a lawn or clean a driveway—yet still made money every time someone else did?” |

Confusing Corporate Sayings:
"We’re focused on creating shareholder value."
Professional Translation:
They’re committed to maximizing returns for investors.
Corporate Pivot Translation:
We’re laying off 10% of the workforce so the stock goes up 3 cents.”

Sam’s Perspective (1st Time Buyer)
🆕 Status Update: Doing things a little different this week. I sent NDAs out for all three listings in the Acquisition Alerts section below.
I want to start sharing the journey more and be even more transparent. Will any of them be as good as they sound? One of them claims around 80 percent margins, which sounds amazing... or like complete B.S. My bet is on the B.S.
I’ll update you once I get to peek behind the curtain. Who knows, maybe one of them will actually be worth talking past the broker. The goal here is to let you learn alongside me and focus on the real takeaways instead of just the flashy numbers.
Stay tuned.
Tyler’s Perspective (Experienced Buyer)
🆕 Status Update: One thing I definitely dropped the ball on when I first bought my home service business was creating a proper logo. I brushed it off early on, but looking back, that was a mistake.
A logo is more than just a design—it’s part of your brand identity. It’s often the first impression customers get, so it should reflect your services, values, and personality. A clean, memorable logo adds credibility and helps your business feel more polished and established.
Think about where it shows up: your website, business cards, uniforms, vehicles, even your invoices. Having something consistent and professional across all of those touchpoints goes a long way.
If you’re like me and creative design isn’t your thing, don’t let that stop you. There are plenty of tools and designers out there who can help. Just don’t skip it. Build it into the early stages of your business—you’ll be glad you did.

💰 Deals < $500k 💰
💰 Pest Control Business
Revenue: $343,000
Asking Price: $275,000
Profit: $160,884 (Profit Margin = 46.9%)
Location: Indian River County, FL
Established: 2008
✅ Pros:
Simple to operate: The business runs lean with just one owner and a storage unit — no storefront or overhead makes it easier for a beginner to manage.
Licensing help offered: Seller is willing to let a qualified buyer use his pest license, helping new entrants bypass a major hurdle in regulated services.
⚠️ Cons:
Solo operator risk: All customers currently interact with the owner. If he leaves and a new face shows up, some client loss is possible unless transition is carefully managed.
📈 Growth Opportunities:
Hire a technician: Adding even one pest tech would immediately double capacity and allow for territory expansion.
Offer recurring packages: Converting customers to monthly or quarterly contracts would build steady cash flow and boost resale value.
💰💰 Deals $500k - $1m 💰💰
💰💰 Public Adjusting Firm
Revenue: $447,314
Asking Price: $884,000
Profit: $351,456 (Profit Margin = 78.6%)
Location: Seminole County, FL (Home-Based)
Established: 2010
✅ Pros:
Very high margins: Nearly 80% profit margin with zero rent due to home-based setup — few businesses deliver this level of net cash flow.
Team and tools already in place: Staff handles both daily and storm claims using a systematized workflow, meaning new owners can focus on growth, not operations.
⚠️ Cons:
Seasonal swings: Revenue is tied to storms and disasters. While lucrative, cash flow may fluctuate unless smoothed with marketing or diversifying services.
📈 Growth Opportunities:
Expand to new geographies: Existing staff and systems make it easy to move into nearby counties or even out-of-state with little cost.
Cross-sell adjacent services: Restoration work, legal support, or inspections could be layered in to deepen client value and unlock new income streams.

💰💰💰 Asphalt Paving Company
Revenue: $1,419,232
Asking Price: $1,400,000
Profit: $755,320 (Profit Margin = 53.2%)
Location: Brevard County, FL
Established: 2018
✅ Pros:
Recurring builder contracts: The company is a go-to paving partner for large builders, meaning a predictable backlog of work is already baked in.
Includes $653K in equipment: Buyer gets all machinery needed to operate without major capital reinvestment — a big advantage in construction trades.
⚠️ Cons:
Relies on manager: While a solid manager is in place, losing them could disrupt operations. First-time buyers should prepare for a backup plan or hands-on oversight.
📈 Growth Opportunities:
Bid on city or county jobs: Public works contracts offer recurring, high-dollar projects with longer timelines and minimal client churn.
Add paving crews: More labor capacity means the ability to take on multiple jobs at once — a fast path to 7-figure revenues.
💡 Cool Business Idea: Local Lead Gen Machines
Idea: Build small digital engines that generate service leads on Facebook Marketplace, Google, or Craigslist — then sell those leads to local pros who are desperate for more jobs.
Why it's cool:
You're not starting a service business — you're starting the engine that drives them. Most local businesses are great at mowing lawns or fixing appliances, but terrible at marketing. That’s where you step in.
You post high-converting ads, build mini landing pages, and collect quote requests. The local company pays you for every job they get. It’s digital real estate — with cash flow.
How it works:
Find high-intent services:
Junk removal
Pressure washing
Dryer vent cleaning
Small appliance repair
Moving help
Mobile mechanic / tire swap
Create lead magnets:
Simple landing page with Typeform or Tally
Post service ads on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist
Use “message for a quote” or a direct booking form
Sell or forward leads:
Flat rate: $15–$30/lead
Rev-share: 10–20% of job booked
Subscription: $300–$1,000/month depending on volume
Startup Costs:
$30–$50/month — Domain + hosting (Webflow, Carrd, Framer, or Loveable)
$0–$100 — Facebook ad spend to test and rank posts
$20/month — CRM like GoHighLevel or Notion to organize leads
$0 — Free tools like Tally, Make.com, and Google Voice
Sample Projections (per city or service niche):
Scenario | Leads/Month | Avg. Rate/Lead | Revenue | Expenses | Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Bad | 20 | $15 | $300 | $100 | $200 |
OK | 75 | $20 | $1,500 | $250 | $1,250 |
Great | 200 | $25 | $5,000 | $750 | $4,250 |
Why it works:
Service providers hate marketing. You solve their biggest pain point.
Leads = currency. Even 1–2 high-converting leads a week is gold to a local pro.
No physical overhead. Just a phone, internet, and hustle.
